I have been working at Norfolk Florist full-time (More than 5 years)
It is only bearable if you really enjoy the floral industry AND don't need a decent wage!
The owner of the Company is clueless and could care less about the people who work for him. He is an arrogant know-it-all who s rarely there, but when he does "appear" wants to second guess everybody's decision and work. You will feel underpaid and underappreciated here, beware! We were hopeful when they hired a new person to run the business. He seemed like he cared a lot, was personable and most of all LISTENED. It didn't last, I can only assume that he got fed up the owners craziness and left.
Advice to Management
Hire someone who know how to run a business.
I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Norfolk Florist (Virginia Beach, VA).
I was contacted by retail manager who had me come into corporate office and speak with her.
Reasons for Declining
Seemed antiquated and disorganized.
