    Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Nortek (Mercer, PA) in December 2017.

    Interview

Several telephone conversations with 2 different on-staff recruiters, and I volunteered some writing samples as well. Then 3(!) separate telephone interviews with engineering staff. Overall, some 5+ hours of my time spent, then when they dismissed me, it was only by a single email from an anonymous address (no-reply@..). Although sadly common among today's employers, I find it cowardly and a poor reflection on the company, so after all my investment in this company, I replied for them to delete any remaining info on me and never contact me again. In effect, this type of behavior is a relief for me not going to work for them. Gawd knows how bad it would have been on the other side!

Being that I'm a reluctant warrior in this employer vs applicant war, I depend on and appreciate sites like Glassdoor for this very type of info, and feel it a duty to contribute.
