I have been working at NorthShore University HealthSystem full-time (More than 5 years)
Not-for-profit organization that puts an emphasis on exceeding the standard of care for each patient. The healthcare system supports a teaching environment in which staff communicate across specialties to ensure the best care is provided.
Limited formulary, over-time is very hard to come by, pay is on the lower end of the competitive pay-scale, benefits could be better.
I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at NorthShore University HealthSystem (Evanston, IL).
The interview process at NorthShore was really long. There was a lot of waiting around for HR. First HR interviewed me for the position - basic phone screen to see what kind of personality I have. It took a very long time - almost 3 weeks - for me to hear anything back. Then I went in for an in-person interview, which felt more like a conversation about the position, day-to-day, and work hours. Overall it was a decent experience, but I wish there wasn't so much waiting time. I feel like NorthShore just has a very slow HR department. I ended up not getting an offer because they had a problem with their internal processes.
