I worked at Northfield Enterprise Center part-time
A lot of the work involved expedience for local small businesses, which came in the form of helping them recruit someone for a job, doing market research, designing marketing materials, and a number of other odds and ends. This happened to give the job quite a bit of freedom in terms of what to work on, which was refreshing.
Sometimes things could get a little bit slow. This naturally was the case because there aren't tons of entrepreneurs that are trying to grow businesses in the Northfield area, at least not to the degree that keeping the center working constantly during the week was feasible.
Advice to Management
Try to find more initiatives to bring business to the Northfield area. This is sort of the intent of the organization in the first place, and its funding from the local government, so perhaps more initiatives and incentives need to be created in order to actually bring more entrepreneurs into the area, and thus more that the center can impact.
