I worked at Northfield Mount Hermon School part-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Awesome environment and people. Especially the young alumni team, they work very hard to make sure the alumni are happy!

    Cons

Nothing. I can not think of a single bad thing about working at this institution. I had a wonderful experience and would work their full-time if I was still in the area.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing your thing. Gotta love the whole culture at the school, especially within the alumni relations crew.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Northfield Mount Hermon School (Gill, MA) in October 2012.

    Interview

Comprehensive: Initial phone call interview followed by one-to-one meeting with director. Then met with half of thirty-person staff, seven directors and the Head of School. Everyone was friendly, welcoming and thorough. Questions were a mix of challenging and humorous. It was clear that they hire on right cultural fit with mission and values of school (head, heart and hands).

    Interview Questions

    Negotiation

I negotiated position (not the director position I applied for) and salary (4 figure increase).
