We have a highly knowledgeable staff of benefit oriented professionals that interface with our clients to address their needs. We are an approved claims payer for all the major stop-loss carriers, and have established long-term working relationships with the predominant managed-care organizations. We believe our list of satisfied, long-term clients is the best testimonial to our commitment to excellence in performing complex administrative duties.
I have been working at Northwest Administrators full-time
NWA Is a good place to work. You get two weeks paid time off after one year and four weeks off after five years.
There is a changing of culture here. Before it used to be old school and you had to wear a tie. Policy has since been eliminated. There is casual Friday's but should be casual everyday if you're not meeting with clients. There is a sweeping change in a management to get younger and it's showing. Great pay, good benefits, holidays paid.
Some old school policies are still in place like no headphones and still required to wear dress pants and dress shirts.
Advice to Management
Less micromanagement and more on letting people get their work done.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Northwest Administrators.
1. Apply online - Add Referral if you had one and you should so they can get referral bonus
2. Once accepted then you take exams (10 key speed, reading, etc.)
3. Get a call or email from the recruiter.
4. Sit in with the recruiter for 15-20 minutes depending on questions that you may have. Goes over the benefits for the position.
5. Wait for 2 supervisors (for me) and they ask you basic interview questions and details about the position such as the training program, travel, data entry, etc...
6. After the interview, you just wait and hopefully you get picked.
