I worked at Northwest Medical Center full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Friendly atmosphere with high tech care and small town kindness

    Cons

Staffing was a concern and workers frequently tasked to support other departments by floating to unfamiliar units

    Advice to Management

Promote from within and remodel so that older units so that all rooms are private

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Northwest Medical Center (Chicago, IL) in August 2016.

    Interview

I was emailed an invitation for an on-demand video interview. I followed the link, had an opportunity to answer practice questions as many times as needed, then clicked on "proceed to interview." The interview was a total of seven questions with three minute answer periods. It gave 30 seconds to formulate a response before recording started.

    Interview Questions

    • Why do you want to work for Northwestern? I was prepared to answer why I wanted to work for the lab at Northwestern, which is a separate entity, so was a bit stumped by this question.   1 Answer
