I have been working at Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research full-time (More than 3 years)
Sound science, good resource, good work life balance, good pay and benefits
management can be conservative; there can be too many meetings; one need to learn to network and manage parallel and up
I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research (Cambridge, MA) in September 2017.
Applied online through NIBR website. Then 2 weeks later I got an email to schedule a phone interview. It was for 30min but went on a bit longer (closer to 45-50ish). Felt good about it.
Then got an email a week later asking to meet in person for a SHORT interview. I went over to their Cambridge site & the hiring manager & one other person from his team met with me for an informal, 1hr-long lunch-interview. Same two people came by & i was asked the usual questions, making sure to give them more clarity about what I've done from my resume; very casual & friendly interview.
Lastly 5 days after my informal lunch I was invited for a full day-long interview at the campus. This lasted from 9a - 4p, gave a presentation (1hr) & met with many many many people throughout the day. Everyone was very interested in the science & asked insightful questions.
Got an answer 10 days after the day long interview.
