I have been working at Novelis full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The company is progressive, good resources, interactive management team, great culture, and professional environment. There is good cooperation within groups, and reasonable time is given to project development. The growth opportunities are big!
I have a long history of work in R&D with international firms and the complaints I have read recently demonstrates to me that these individuals have no clue what it is like at other companies!

    Cons

The negativity of a few disgruntled employees who just want to whine and complain.

    Advice to Management

Stay the course! The culture is good and the strategy is an effective one!
A growth and transition phase always has its stallers and stoppers.
They have a choice to join and reap the benefits or leave and realize the real world is tough and requires work.

    Continuous Improvement Specialist Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Oswego, NY
    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Novelis (Oswego, NY) in June 2013.

    Interview

Knew someone that already worked there who informed me on who to send my resume to. Once I sent my resume I received a call to set up a phone interview within 24 hours. I succeeded on that interview and was asked to come on site for a second interview. Both interviews asked some generic questions followed by why I should be chosen for the job.

    Interview Questions

    • None were that difficult. Just spoke what came to mind when I heard the question.   Answer Question

    Negotiation

Very quick responses as well as willing to give in to my requests.
