The Nutanix Inside Sales Team provides a unique opportunity for those with a passion in sales and a determination to grow their career. Our team provides a 4 tier structure, allowing people to grow from no experience to being ready to take on a role in field sales. 

Sales Development Representatives are the first level, working closely with marketing to follow up on leads generated from events. You are given the chance to learn about the product, and different sales strategies to position the product. 

Account Development Representatives focus on prospecting. A unique role focused on Global 2000s and truly getting Nutanix in front of the biggest customers out there. Winning in this role, means a huge win for the company.

Inside Sale Represntative provides a blend of channel work and partnering along side field reps. You will get the chance to work with the channel partners in your region, bring in deals, develop relationships and ultimately drive business. In addition, you will work closely with the field to understand full sales cycles.

Account Executives run full cycle sales deals from start to finish. This opportunity prepares you for a field position as you will manage all aspects of the deal. From here you can move easily to a field opportunity.

    I have been working at Nutanix full-time (Less than a year)


    Having worked for larger companies in the technology space I could tell right away that Nutanix would be a great change. When the CEO of a $2.5 Billion company makes it a point to attend your new hire class that shows the amount of respect management has for all the people at the company - even the rookies. The culture in the field is equally great. First level managers strive to get to know you without micromanaging you and everyone in the field has a team mentality to helping each other out. Finally, in a company with this much explosive growth it is great to have a commission!!!


    Growing fast, so first line managers change as those roles are expanded.

    Advice to Management

    Keep loving the misfits, the disrupters and the growth makers!

    I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Nutanix (Richmond, VA) in November 2016.


    Had a great interview with hiring manager as well as multiple interviews and conversations with upper management and peers. Met with engineering partners as well as channel partners and discussed the value proposition of Nutanix. I felt like it was a bi-directional interview process.
