  1. Human Resources Recruiter Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Columbus, OH
    No Offer
    Positive Experience
    Easy Interview
    Application

I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Ohio State University Physicians, Inc (Columbus, OH) in Mar 2015

    Interview

I applied online by submitting a resume and cover letter and received an email two days later requesting a telephone interview. The Recruiter asked what days and times would work best for my schedule and she arranged to conduct the telephone screening a few days after our email communication. The Recruiter was very friendly and described the position in great detail as well as the background of the Company. The research that I had conducted prior the screening was not necessary, but I wanted to be prepared. Typical questions such as Why Should we Hire You? Tell me some strengths, Tell me about a weakness and how you have made improvements, Are you a leader or follower? none of these were asked. Basically, I had to explain how my skills and qualifications matched the job posting.

Clinical Athletic Trainer Kyle began a career in athletic training to help people, especially those involved in active lifestyles. He wanted to combine his passions with his profession by remaining close to athletics and offering daily help to patients experiencing injuries and pains. “What surprised me as an athletic trainer at The Ohio State University Medical Center was that there was actually a clinic position with normal weekday hours where I could still be involved with athletes and direct patient care. Many athletic training positions require longer weekly or weekend hours with sports coverage. These positions are still offered at OSU and many combine outreach coverage for sports with clinic work to break up the weekly schedule, but I wanted a more structured work week.” When asked about what he enjoys working for the medical center, Kyle says, “The culture! At OSU, everyone genuinely cares for each patient and their concerns. Everyone is treated with care, kindness and compassion.”
