I have been working at Olive Crest full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Really making a visible and tangible difference in the lives of the families served
Work schedule can be fairly flexible depending on position
Excellent way to gain experience as a recent grad
Family environment rather than "just a job"
    Passionate staff

    Cons

Olive Crest is a non-profit so pay rates are not always comparable to market value or for-profit/commercial industries
Some positions have quite a bit of drive time if that's not something you enjoy
Company does not match retirement contributions

    Advice to Management

Even more open and proactive communication

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Olive Crest.

    Interview

It started with an online application, and then an interview with HR and an interview with the school's principal. The position for the school Olive Crest Academy. There was a big focus on the challenges on the job and they were very transparent with that information.

    Interview Questions

    • How would you handle a child that is escalating from not listening, to being verbally aggressive to physically aggressive, while caring for the other children in the classroom.   Answer Question
