Mission: To empower shared success by being the best vendor to our customers, the best customer to our vendors and the best employer to our employee-owners through innovation and collaboration.
OmniCable, an employee-owned company (ESOP), is a master distributor of specialty wire and cable sold exclusively through electrical and electronic distribution. Our 12 locations nationwide can cut and ship material same day for delivery or pickup. We offer access to our inventory 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Our employee-owners are all working towards the same goal, which is our mission statement: To be the best supplier of specialty cable, related products, and services to the electrical wholesale industry while providing our customers, vendors, and employees the absolute best in products, services, and career opportunities.
OmniCable stocks specialty wire and cable that electrical distributors often do not inventory. These types of cables come in a wide variety of constructions and sizes. Here at OmniCable, we take master reels of wire and cable and cut them down to size to meet the quantity needs of the electrical distributor.
In addition, OmniCable offers solutions to meet demands for lead times, projects, training, technical assistance, and more.
An ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) is an employee retirement plan in which the employees of a company own stock in the company. OmniCable has been an ESOP company since 1998.
As an ESOP employer, we do not hire employees, we hire owners, and empower their futures. Here at OmniCable, our employees are our greatest asset and we view it as our responsibility to make sure they have the tools they need to succeed. We are active in growing their professional development with clear career paths. Because of this, we hope you are excited for the opportunity to join our company.
At OmniCable, we offer a stimulating and diverse work environment with competitive compensation and great benefits.

Advice to Management
Treat people how you would want to be treated.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at OmniCable (Saint Louis, MO) in February 2015.
Round robin format with upper management interviewees. Behavioral/situational style questions and allowed for a lot of individual discussion of management style and thoughts on growing the business and coaching sales professions for success.
