I worked at On The Border part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I worked at the Lewisville, Texas location, which is a test store for menu rollouts. I loved working with the corporate team with drink development and new products. Additionally, the manager team was great, upbeat, engaged with the team; overall a great experience filled with great regulars and guests who were thrilled to see fun, new offerings.

    Cons

I had no problems while working here. Great experience and helpful with working around my college schedule. My only suggestion would be to keep pushing cleanliness standards.

    Advice to Management

Separate the high end food and bev into a new brand that attracts an appropriate clientele.

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at On The Border (Kansas City, MO).

    Interview

Initial 30 minute phone interview then a hour long sit down with area directorfor formal interview followed by a gm shadow shift followed by lunch with restaurant staff. A lot was centered around what success looks like as well as what failure of a poorly ran shift looked like.
