I have been working at OnStar full-time (More than 5 years)
I love the work environment. I have met life long friends here. I have worked in multiple departments and acquired a diverse range of work experience in my 7 years on the OnStar contract.
Change is good but new initiatives here are never executed as smoothly as they should be. The issues that these changes cause, to me, are usually foreseeable. By the time the proper adjustments are finally made, the first initiative changes again.
Advice to Management
Make sure that changes that help one portion of the business are understood by all departments and that said change is not detrimental to other portions of the business. This is done well on the technical end but not on the user side of the business.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at OnStar in July 2016.
The easiest interview in the history of the world. They asked 1 question and then told me about the job for the rest of a phone interview and another face to face interview. It was so simple it totally threw me off as to whether or not they were interested in me.
