Mission: OnTrac will be the best choice for small-package shippers by providing an exceptional service experience with every package, every day. We will exceed customer expectations and financial contributions through efficient operations and continuous improvements to our service ...
OnTrac is a parcel logistics company with operations throughout the Western United States. Customers choose OnTrac because we are flexible, affordable and fast.
Our history is rooted in the courier industry, where speed and service are a must. We started in California, delivering overnight letters from Los Angeles to San Francisco, and have grown to become the best choice for last-mile delivery, logistics, and distribution within the Western United States.
Our people are the core of our service, and a “can-do” attitude is what sets OnTrac apart. Every package matters, and we routinely go the extra mile to give our customers the very best delivery experience.
If you are energetic, active, and take pride in your work, you have an opportunity to join a team of hard-working individuals who are shaping the future of the logistics industry. It’s a great company!
Our employees and our organization are always looking to give back to the communities in which we live and work. A few examples that we are most proud of are below:
OnTrac assisted Brownie Girl Scouts Troop 2870 in their community service project. The Troop held a shoe drive with Soles-4-Souls, an organization working to help people around the world who desperately need shoes.
Rush Equipment Assisting Children (R.E.A.C.H.) is a program that collects used or unwanted soccer equipment from Colorado Rush and other community members to donate to underprivileged children throughout the world.
The Yoga for Hope event brings awareness to the benefits of yoga for patients with life-threatening illnesses as well as raise money for researchers at City of Hope.
Express Messenger Systems, Inc. & California Overnight
Express Messenger Systems, Inc. logoOnTrac started in 1991 as California Overnight, a division of its now 60-year old parent company Express Messenger Systems, Inc. EMS was formed from the acquisitions of several small Canadian and American courier companies and saw an opportunity to provide a more an affordable next-day service from Los Angels to San Francisco.
The first California Overnight customers were architects and lawyers, and we quickly grew to help other industries reduce their shipping spend without sacrificing next-day delivery.
We expanded to all of California and then added Nevada in 1996, Arizona in 1997, and Oregon and Washington in 2005. We knew that we had outgrown the California Overnight name, and began preparations for a name change.
California Overnight, OnTrac & 65 Million Consumers
In 2008, California Overnight changed its name to OnTrac. It was the name of our shipping software, which had already been in use for over a decade. OnTrac marked the first year of its new name by opening service to Utah. We then added Colorado in 2011, and Idaho in 2013.
The 8-state service area gave customers an opportunity to quickly reach over 65 million consumers without paying the extra fees charged by national carriers.
Parcel Logistics & Beyond
Today, OnTrac connects companies to local delivery professionals through leading technology, advanced material-handling, and excellent customer service. In 2014, OnTrac launched DirectPost, a USPS Package Consolidation Service. We are a SmartWay Transport Partner, a USPS Workshare Partner, and are integrated with over thirty multi-carrier software providers.
Our promise is "On Time Delivery For Less," and we stand behind our commitment by offering a Money-Back Service Guarantee.
OnTrac has become a core component of an efficient last-mile delivery strategy, and helps some of the world's largest brands arrange fast ground delivery, and delights customers with a positive service experience. We provide the abilities you expect from a national carrier, without sacrificing flexibility, professionalism, and cost. It’s the next big thing in logistics!
OnTrac understands that the future of our business is tied to the well-being of the planet and our local communities. We concentrate on resource conservation and consider the impact that our operations and facilities have on the environment. We continue to seek out new ways to reduce our footprint and to be an example within our industry.
OnTrac complies with all current and applicable government and regulatory agency requirements, and we actively work towards exceeding such requirements amongst our peers. Our continuing efforts include:

I have been working at OnTrac full-time (More than a year)
This is a busy time for OnTrac so the work is very hard and fast paced. We get food a lot which makes it nice. The people work well together and the managers are nice.
Can be hard work. The hours can change sometimes when the trucks are late or the volume increases.
I applied online. I interviewed at OnTrac.
The questions were standardized and very brief. They asked for concrete examples of communication skills and teamwork. If they like you they will make an offer right then and there.
