In 2009, we observed a flurry of new cloud vendors with innovative takes on existing problems. Companies were excited about all these new tools, but were growing increasingly frustrated with their lack of ability to manage users and control access across applications, and generally manage their IT footprint in the cloud.
We realized that the complexity of existing identity management solutions was incompatible with the simplicity of the cloud. And we saw lack of standards that would be a requirement for strong identity ecosystem to emerge.
We decided to change how enterprises think about IT by building a cloud-based platform for identity management and by becoming a major driver for the standards that power today’s identity infrastructure.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at OneLogin (San Francisco, CA) in November 2017.
An internal recruiter from OneLogin contacted me about a senior level position even though I'm not senior by any measure. He set up a code-sharing technical call between me and a senior engineer there. He gave me a problem to solve and I wrote some code that produced the correct values, but he told me I did it wrong and then started explaining some very basic concepts to me that I already knew. I found the experience frustrating and condescending.
