OpenWorks was founded in 1983 by our current CEO, Eric Roudi. Roudi, a career entrepreneur, realized commercial cleaning was a massive and underserved $100 +billion industry. There were very few professional commercial cleaning companies at this time. Already intrigued by the idea of franchising, Roudi saw a great business opportunity by putting franchising and commercial cleaning together to create the unique concept we know today.

After diligent research and planning, Eric Roudi introduced OpenWorks Facility Services, a company that is committed to improving facilities by maintaining high standards and providing quality work to consistently make facilities cleaner, safer and healthier.

Headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, OpenWorks has regional offices located in Los Angeles, California, San Franciso, California, San Diego, California, Seattle, Washington, Dallas, Texas, Austin, Texas, Houston, Texas, Chicago, Illinois, Denver, Colorado, Tampa, Florida, Atlanta, Georgia, Minneapolis, Minnesota and Phoenix, Arizona.

I have been working at OpenWorks full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The company truly trusts the employees and empowers them. The work can be challenging and goals are not gimme's but the support, training and autonomy as well as a proven system and product are provided. For those who want to be accountable and who want the freedom and the responsibility that goes along, this is an amazing place to be. Pay is fair and is pay for performance. Company is growing and creating opportunity all the time. If you are driven, talented and have grit - you need to do yourself a favor and get on this train ASAP.

    Cons

Nothing outside of the challenges that come with growth. Some minor issues here and there that the company works through.

    Advice to Management

Keep it up! Don't let growth and success change the culture of this phenomenal company.

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at OpenWorks (Phoenix, AZ).

    Interview

Extensive. Screened by recruiter, then interview with recruiter. Then 2 interviews with 2 DVPs then interview with EVP then interview with owner. Also 2 additional assessments. While it was extensive, it was warm and everyone was gracious.

    Interview Questions

    • What didn't they ask!? There's not a way to simplify this or shortcut this. You need to know your stuff. Be able to speak to your past accomplishments, personality, etc. With the detailed assessments, you need to be 100% honest or it will show.   1 Answer
