    I have been working at Optiv full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Growing pains still means growth.
    Good people.
    Hard, challenging, and rewarding work.
    Flexible schedules.
    Working remote.

    Cons

    Culture still undefined.
    Rumor mills go unaddressed.
    Senior management has been absent and sometimes dismissive.
    Working remote is (maybe?) going away. Again, management won't address and the drama junkies are running it.

    Advice to Management

    You guys have some tough decisions ahead. I don't envy you. But we all must do what's best for the company. The acquisitions have given us "too many cooks in the kitchen". Too many executives are now basically "Managers of special projects", aka the corporate kiss of death. It's too top heavy, where neither Accuvant or Fishnet were just 2-3 years ago. I think we were just so excited after the merger and systems integration, that we gave in to an orgy of self congratulating followed by excessive spending and bonuses. Some of our most basic back-office functions were completely hobbled after integration but the business leaders who lead the venture touted a job-well-done. Some of those leaders are now gone, which I attribute to the "market will correct itself" philosophy. I have absolute confidence in the company. We can get through these times, but please, don't let hubris stand in the way. We're too smart for that and we wouldn't have come this far if you didn't already have well intentioned and good people.

    I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Optiv (Melbourne, FL) in April 2017.

    Interview

    Great interview process. Very responsive to questions and kept in close contact through out the process. Meet with the hiring manager and other Optiv employees currently doing the role. Also met with the executive responsible for the area and he was very open to answer questions about company direction and role expectations. It was very refreshing to have that level of contact and the information provided. HR contacts were great as well. Kept me informed along the way and kept close contact. Very responsive to questions.
