Technical Account Manager

Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. - great coworkers - fully remote (before it was trendy) - opportunities to learn and develop new skills - company values actually matter - no KPIs or Metric goals to add unnecessary stress - company


It’s fully remote so COVID has made it increasingly difficult to meet in person. If you need physical human interactions to thrive, this may not be the place for you.

Advice to Management

Keep up the good work.

One day you’ll be the blueprint for how other companies should be!

    I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Order Desk (Lancaster, PA) in Jan 2021


    The entire process was done remotely.

    It was about 4 rounds including my initial application.

    I then answered about 10-15 follow up questions via email.

    I then submitted a video answering about 5 questions.

    Then I had an interview with about 3 leaders of the company that lasted about 1.5-2hrs

    They were honest and said they needed to learn a bit more about me so I had another 20min interview with a few non-lead employees.

    The entire process took maybe 3-4weeks. If I recall correctly, each round lasted almost a week.

Order Desk is hiring a Customer Support Specialist! This is a full-time customer support position. The location is 100% remote, and is open to applicants living anywhere in the world. This isn’t your typical support role. Order Desk is a technically robust app where reaching proficiency takes time. Our approach to support takes experimentation and thinking outside the box as each customer we talk to has a unique problem to solve that requires reading comprehension, troubleshooting skills, analytical thinking, and being able to concisely explain technical concepts in a non-technical way.
