We are proud of Michael Martin and Christopher Williams from our Charlotte Commercial Branch. They made #Orkin proud by promoting our 2018 Rattiest Cities List on CBS Charlotte Morning Break. The duo did a great job discussing prevention tips. can't wait to see what these guys accomplish in 2019!!
We’ve Been Here From The Beginning
Founded in 1901 by 14-year-old Otto Orkin, we have more than 100 years of experience in pest control services and are leaders in the industry, specializing in protection against common pests, including termites, rodents, and insects.
In addition to pest control, we also offer integrated plans to help protect the whole home, including insulation and moisture control services.
Orkin is a wholly owned subsidiary of Rollins, Inc., (NYSE: ROL), headquartered in Atlanta, Ga.
We employ nearly 8,000 team members in more than 400 locations in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, Central America, South America, the Middle East, the Caribbean, Asia, the Mediterranean, Africa, and Australia serving approximately 1.7 million residential and commercial customers.
THE MANY FACES OF ORKIN
Our Orkin family is made up of many races, genders, cultures and beliefs. We pride ourselves on our diversity since it brings more experience and knowledge to our team. Our GOAL is to be the NATION’S BEST SERVICE COMPANY. We will accomplish this goal by delivering the finest quality services and values to our customers, while being environmentally responsible. This will provide opportunities and security for our employees.
Women at Orkin
We’re proud of our female workforce and their commitment to excellence. We offer women the same opportunities available to any other employee, and we make sure the Orkin workplace is rich in personal fulfillment and career advancement. Some might consider the pest management industry a nontraditional job for female employees, but we feel differently -- we welcome, respect and value women in our workforce. It’s our experience that women make a unique contribution to the pest control industry, and every woman who wears an Orkin uniform becomes a vital member of our team.
For those preparing to exit school, Orkin provides a great place to lay the building blocks of success. On top of our outstanding pay and benefits, we provide something more valuable -- the ability to continue to ascend as a person and professional, and the tools, resources and knowledge to do so. At Orkin, a commitment to your future isn't just talk. It's what we do.
A diverse family needs options because every family member is unique. That’s why we provide our employees with a choice of comprehensive benefits plans that allow them to choose the plan that works best for them. When you join the Orkin® family, you’ll quickly learn that we take care of our own — including preventive care and the opportunity for long-term financial security.
“If there’s a company to invest a long-term career with, Orkin is one of the best. It’s stable, proven and the culture is above and beyond what is commonly found at most companies. With hard work, anything is possible.”
— Thomas F., Branch Manager
Among the benefits Orkin offers are:
Our service is backed by an exceptional quality assurance program, a team of experts, and comprehensive documentation of our findings and service, all of which guarantees our pest control service meets our high-quality standards — and yours.
At Orkin, we have invested millions to develop award-winning training programs that extend well beyond the classroom.
A key factor in our continued training success is our combined use of advanced technology and systems including Orkin TV, podcast technology, Rollins University’s on-site learning, and a comprehensive certification program.
Our Training Facility
Rollins University is a 30,000-square-foot learning center in Atlanta. The one-of-a-kind facility contains several simulated customer environments such as a dining area, bar, commercial kitchen, bakery, hospital room, hotel room and a 2,100-square-foot house.
Each Orkin commercial pest specialist is trained in Orkin’s award-winning certification program that includes credited class work from Purdue University, treatment techniques, and special pest or industry-specific training (if needed).

I worked at Orkin full-time (More than 8 years)
Excellent training, great base pay with monthly bonus opportunity. Commercial business retention 98% with many add-on opportunities, due to their vast array of services and products.
It would be nice to be able to tape into some of the 98% retention, by allowing some reoccurring revenue.
