I worked at Orly International full-time
Many dedicated employees who want to do well and want to see the company greatly succeed. Many talented employees with valuable knowledge and experience.
Employees are not shown appreciation or recognition for what they do. The company pays its employees, even those in lead or supervisory roles, at the very bottom of the industry standard pay scale, and in many cases not even on the pay scale. Then the HR Department recognizes that the company is losing good employees due to inequitable pay scales, but they continue to make empty promises. The current HR department can be described at best as rude, unapproachable, highly unethical, and conniving, and demeaning.
Advice to Management
Upper management needs to boost employee morale, reward employees, and try to retain good talent.
Also, the company could have a much higher employee morale by simply replacing the HR department.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Orly International (Los Angeles, CA) in December 2014.
I was interviewed by my future managers and then brought in for a 2nd interview with the VP and later the CEO. All the questions were pretty straightforward and they were all very nice. They gave me an opportunity to ask my own questions and they were thoughtful in their responses. The CEO was really short in terms of interviewing me, but my position did not have direct contact with him anyway. I received an offer within 2 weeks from my first interview.
