    Product Development Engineer Interview

    Average Interview

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Ormco (Glendora, CA) in October 2010.

    Interview

Brought in for 1/2 day interview. VP asked bizarre questions of how you'd measure the volume of a box by rolling it on a piece of paper and other questions designed to make you uncomfortable. Hiring manager asked about background, nothing general. Met with other engineers in a panel, they mostly were interested in how your personality would fit into the organization. Most people seemed depressed. Culture seemed authoritarian.

    Interview Questions

    • Please describe how you would measure the volume of a box by rolling it on a piece of paper w/o a ruler.   Answer Question
    • Please describe how you would maximize the area of a corral if you have 100 feet of fencing and a river forms one side of a corral.   1 Answer
