Osmose – Why Work For Us?

About Us

Osmose Utilities Services, Inc. serves electric utilities and telecommunication providers across North America, providing professional assessment, maintenance, and rehabilitation services for aging transmission and distribution (T&D) infrastructure. Whether the need is pole inspectors to apply remedial treatment, crews to assist with post-storm recovery, or engineers to perform complex connectivity surveys and build accurate network models, Osmose can help.

Who Succeeds With Us: We wear work boots, crave fresh air, like outdoor activities, and see weather and terrain as everyday living.  From day one we breathe in the Osmose culture of pride, performance, and safety, and instill that culture with actions and words.  We travel regionally and sometimes nationally with fellow workers in tight-knit teams.  Those who hustle most enjoy their pay supplemented with performance bonuses.

Because of our commitment to employee development, all Osmose Foremen begin employment with a paid comprehensive training program that provides classroom and on-the-job field instruction conducted by a highly experienced and skilled Osmose Foreman. Foreman Trainees actively participate in the day-to-day work program with a typical field crew. The length of training depends upon the service and/or the individual. Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Osmose (Nashville, TN).

    Interview

Recruiter called me and asked if I was working for anyone. She said they came across my resume and thought I was a good candidate for the position. Seemed very impressed with my work background. Asked that I fill out application on company site. When I mentioned they contacted me last year and I went through all the assessments and never heard anything back from them the tone of the conversation changed dramatically. I don't know why but recruiters and hiring managers for utility related companies seem to be the ones who contact me without me applying , do multiple interviews , assessments , etc. , then never get back in touch ( although everyone of them tells me " We will be contacting about the decision regardless of who we choose ".
