For 27 years, our engineers have worked with the best of the best. Our headquarters is a LEED Gold Certified facility in Long Beach, California where our engineers work with the latest cutting edge technology. Every project designed by P2S uses solid sustainable design practices; we use software like Revit MEP to leverage sustainable practices for the benefit of our clients. Our engineers work alongside co-founders, Kevin and Kent Peterson, who have led the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and ACEC CAMEE (Council of American Mechanical and Electrical Engineers). P2S Inc has joined forces with one of the top retirement plan providers in the industry, Empower Retirement. Empower has emerged as the 2nd Largest Provider in the industry as Putnam, JP Morgan, and Great West have all combined the best parts of their practices into one. In an effort to do more for their employees, P2S Engineering covers all of the consulting fees associated with the retirement plan. They have even adopted Fee Revenue Equitation to help reduce fees further by eliminating excess mutual revenue and using the most efficient mutual fund share class available.     I have been working at P2S Inc. full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    You are constantly growing, learning, and advancing at P2S if you commit, communicate and are passionate about the work. I’ve been approached and investigated over 15 firms in California, and P2S is by far the best. Other pros include flexible work hours, commitment to sustainability (LEED Platinum Office), and access to senior management.

    Cons

    Could improve studio leader functionality, advancing from production/PM to management can be tough if your manager doesn’t want to split the group.

    Advice to Management

    Keep trying to improve, and maybe make the leadership growth process more transparent and accessible.

    I applied online. I interviewed at P2S Inc. in March 2018.

    Interview

    After about 3 days, I got an email from the recruiter to setup a phone interview with the department director. Overall, it was a standard interview with questions about my resume. The director did most of the talking and seemed very rushed. Still waiting on an update from the recruiter.
