PCL Construction recruits at more than 40 colleges and universities to support our robust U.S. College Student Program. Intern and co-op student positions are available at each of our locations across the U.S. during the summer, spring and fall. The majority of students find internship opportunities on project sites in operations or health, safety and environmental (HSE) departments. Other opportunities are available in support departments such as estimating, virtual construction, finance & accounting, human resources, and marketing/communications. The program supports major initiatives at PCL including organic growth, mentoring, and diversity.
PCL aims to offer a unique but structured experience to all students. Interns are challenged with meaningful work assignments and are provided with varying degrees of responsibility with scope equal to an entry-level employee. Interns are assigned a mentor to help guide them through the program and they're able to build relationships with PCL employees through various health and wellness, and social events. There are also several networking opportunities available to interns during their time at PCL where students receive formal and informal feedback during their work term. The internship experience culminates with a presentation to local senior leaders. At the end of each intership round, an office selects a District Student of the Year who then advances on for the title of overall U.S. Student of the Year winner.

It is a face to face interview with HR. After one week, HR contacted me and gave me the offer. In the first day of working, we are introduced with the company culture and safety knowledge.
