Mission: PECI's mission: to be a pivotal force in the new energy economy.
I worked at PECI full-time
Well intentioned, committed people across the entire organization. Culture was vibrant and engaging. Hard working and service oriented. Acquired by much larger, for profit company, which was right business decision but killer for the culture.
Acquisition was rough. Integration planning lacked any real, tangible commitment from the acquiring organization. Turnover resulted and some of the best of PECI passed away. Ratings below reflect assessment of PECI, not acquiring company.
Advice to Management
Retain the former PECI'ers if you can - they bring a solid experience and deep commitment to a sustainable organization and an energy efficient world.
I applied online. I interviewed at PECI (Portland, OR).
Process was rather long. There was 1 phone screening, and 2 in-person interviews (one with direct supervisor and one with the rest of the team. I think they are mostly looking for: 1) right fit with team/company, 2) general smarts to learn on the job and catch up to learning curve, and 3) general fit to the position depending on your past experience and where you are going.
Initially, I have a salary range. The offer came just under the low-end of my range. I asked for a bit more, and they raised it to just over my low-end ask.
