I worked at PGi full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people you'll work with here are great. They'll treat you like family, which I always felt was important to the overall atmosphere. It's a great place to start your career, especially in the tech industry in Atlanta as PGi is well known locally.

    Cons

There have been a lot of changes that has forced the company to downsize which has caused some restrictions on resources. Many of the younger associates and managers here do all of the leg work without any recognition, let alone any sort of ability to advance in their career or have access to opportunities to sharpen their skills. A lot of time is spent putting out fires that could've been avoided with proper resources. Company culture has also declined a bit over the last year and it kind of shows when you walk in the office.

    Advice to Management

Work on having a proactive strategy rather than reactive. Appreciate and recognize the hard work your employees are doing. Be transparent about career opportunities and focus on helping employees thrive. Even though resources are tight, a team building activity here and there can do wonders for your team's morale, that seems to have been forgotten.

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2+ weeks. I interviewed at PGi (Atlanta, GA) in May 2016.

    Interview

Phone interview discussing highlights of the position. Face-to-face interview with two managers was professional. The interview was conversational. It was my first face-to-face in many years. The interview was comfortable.
