Our values represent who we are as PNC. All equally as important, they drive our behavior and reflect our priorities. However, despite all championing these, we’re not all the same. With our unique differences and diverse skills, we work together to do whatever we can to make our customers’ lives better.

From financing first homes to starting new businesses, the work we do matters. And not just to our customers, but to the communities around us, too. That’s why we’re proud to be PNC. We feel good about what we do. More than that, through various projects and initiatives, we’re able to make a positive impact on the people around us.

EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

PNC Grow Up Great® is our $5000 million, multi-year, bilingual initiative that began in 2004 to help prepare children from birth to age five for success in school and life. Employees receive up to 40 hours of paid volunteer time each year to participate in Grow Up Great®. Extra benefits like these make working at PNC rewarding.

COMMUNITY IMPACT

As a Main Street bank, we take pride in how we relate to and serve our employees, customers and communities. PNC supports the communities where it conducts business through job creation, local infrastructure, small business loans, financial education and sponsorships.  These financial services, together with our philanthropic giving and volunteerism, create a series of benefits that strengthen communities.

ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY

PNC recognizes that environmental issues, including climate change, are impacting our business, our clients and the communities in which we operate.  We understand the importance of balancing financial priorities with environmental issues, and believe that doing so is critical to practicing sound risk management and being a good corporate citizen.  That’s why we continue to invest in our buildings, which impact the environment, as well as the health of our employees.  Through our efforts, we have met our 2020 environmental goals ahead of schedule and positioned ourselves to meet new and more aggressive environmental goals by 2035.

That’s why we nurture an open culture, where each and every one of us can be our truest selves. After all, it’s only when we feel comfortable and empowered in our role that we can make a positive impact on the people around us.

Development Programs

As an Analyst or Associate in a Development Program, you’ll first establish a foundational knowledge of your specific business and PNC as an enterprise. This includes an orientation, foundational banking training, and formal learning.  Then, you’ll dig deep with learning and experiences specific to your line of business, giving you the tools and resources you need to impact the customer experience while further developing your career and preparing you for your next step.

Summer Internship Programs

During your 10-week Summer Internship, you’ll have a hand in work that impacts our customers, businesses, and shareholders. Placed within one of our lines of business, you’ll be supported by an assigned manager and peer mentor – gaining extensive exposure to our products and services, real-world experiences and assignments that complement your education, and an understanding of potential Development Program opportunities beyond graduation.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6+ weeks. I interviewed at PNC Financial Services Group.

    Interview

First, had a phone interview with a recruiter. Then met with the hiring manager. A week later, had an interview with the market manager and credit coach. Then was contacted by the recruiter and extended an offer. A very straightforward interview and hiring process.
