From financing first homes to starting new businesses, the work we do matters. And not just to our customers, but to the communities around us, too. That’s why we’re proud to be PNC. We feel good about what we do. More than that, through various projects and initiatives, we’re able to make a positive impact on the people around us.

EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

PNC Grow Up Great® is our $350 million, multi-year, bilingual initiative that began in 2004 to help prepare children from birth to age five for success in school and life. Employees receive up to 40 hours of paid volunteer time each year to participate in Grow Up Great®. Extra benefits like these make working at PNC rewarding.

COMMUNITY IMPACT

As a Main Street bank, we take pride in how we relate to and serve our employees, customers and communities. PNC supports the communities where it conducts business through job creation, local infrastructure, small business loans, financial education and sponsorships.  These financial services, together with our philanthropic giving and volunteerism, create a series of benefits that strengthen communities.

ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY

PNC recognizes that environmental issues, including climate change, are impacting our business, our clients and the communities in which we operate.  We understand the importance of balancing financial priorities with environmental issues, and believe that doing so is critical to practicing sound risk management and being a good corporate citizen.  That’s why we continue to invest in our buildings, which impact the environment, as well as the health of our employees.  Through our efforts, we have met our 2020 environmental goals ahead of schedule and positioned ourselves to meet new and more aggressive environmental goals by 2035.

I have been working at PNC Financial Services Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Work with smart accomplished people. Corporate setting with many opportunities to move forward within the company.

    Cons

Pay could be more competitive. Some employees have been in their position for 30+ years and are set in their ways and are reluctant to advance with technology and transforming markets.

    Advice to Management

Management does a good job. Employees that are comfortable and have been in the company for a very long time should be promoted or exposed to different aspects of the business. This would keep tenured employees active and adapting to change while broadening their mind to the broader picture of the business.
