I have been working at PPG full-time (More than a year)
Decent pay, paid vacation, quality people selling a quality professional product. I wouldn't use any other paint so why would I sell any other paint?
Depending on location, sometimes we can't get the product we need as quickly as our customers wood like it, and sometimes it's hard to assess the customs needs. Computer system isn't the most effecient and doesn't always connect to other stores
Advice to Management
Share more information and knowledge with your employees. It can only help your cause, not hurt you, long term. Knowledge is power
I applied in-person. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at PPG (Carlisle, PA).
Step 1). Phone interview with HR manager at plant. Step 2). Onsite interview with HR manager, department manager, plant superintendent, and plant manager -Looking for driven people that are willing to learn and stick around Step 3). HR manager either calls you with an offer or sends a letter/email with acceptance or decline Step 4). Negotiate offer or continue searching for jobs -HR will try to talk down your initial offer, do yourself the favor and negotiate a better starting price
