I have been working at PPG full-time
Steady decent work. Good hours and always an opportunity for over time. Great location for the Salem area and it's surrounding cities.Good benefits and salary. There are some opportunities to move up in the company.
12 hour shifts could be difficult for some people. Most glass processors start working on the night shift. Starting glass processor is a temporary position until the probation has passed. The probation is approximately three months.
Advice to Management
Reduction of politics in the workplace would be beneficial. The posibility of more structure and balance between the day shift crew and the night shift crew. Maybe the implementation of an individualized review.
I applied in-person. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at PPG (Carlisle, PA).
