When it’s time to make a change, make it a great one.
Life’s too short to work on things that don’t matter. Leading brands and technology companies partner with us to turn their visions into reality. With an ecosystem of hundreds of thousands of minds working together in an open, collaborative community—we’re making truly amazing advancements on what’s possible now and in the future. From Augmented and Virtual Reality to the Internet of Things, it’s a fascinating time to be shaping this new frontier of innovation.
That’s what gets us out of bed and excited to tackle each day. How about you?
We’re here to help you thrive.
We promote an environment that is encouraging, welcoming and fun. We support an inclusive workplace embracing and learning from our diverse workforce and leveraging its unique perspectives. We want new ideas, new thinking and new solutions—and that starts with hiring people with a wide variety of backgrounds, skills and experiences. From the moment you walk in the door, we want you to feel comfortable being yourself. Employees can join our Employee Resource Groups from Women of PTC and the Emerging Leaders Forum to PRISM (LBGTQ+) and Black Employees at PTC. Have an idea for something else? You’re empowered to start a new Employee Resource Group, organize a volunteer service day, or run a hack-a-thon—innovative thinking is encouraged and good ideas move quickly around here.
The next big thing isn’t always just moving up. We encourage employees to be broad, flexible players by learning new things and reimagining their career paths. Cross-functional and global projects, exploratory short term projects, and lateral career moves are all ways employees build their own career at PTC. If you have an idea, you are empowered to make it happen. Want to take your career in a completely different direction? We have a competitive tuition reimbursement program for graduate, undergraduate, and micro-learning courses.
Regardless of your level in the company, we want you to grow your career and be prepared to lead. That’s why we offer a comprehensive set of development opportunities to all employees. From eLearning resources like Lynda.com to on-site manager training classes and leadership programs, we encourage our employees to take time to invest in themselves and learn new skills. In fact, our employees are so passionate about learning, they’ve built the world’s first online learning platform exclusively focused on IoT and AR. IoT University features online courses with engaging videos, project based challenges, and dynamic learning exercises focused on IoT business strategy and application development using ThingWorx.
At PTC, we start by offering a competitive salary and total compensation package. And once you’re an employee we also provide opportunities to gain an ownership stake in PTC and share in the company’s successes. In addition, we focus on ensuring you experience a benefits package that takes care of the whole you—including your health, wealth and well-being.
I have been working at PTC full-time (More than 3 years)
Ability to have impact, flexibility, competitive compensation, exciting technology, growth oriented mindset personally and professionally. Great company culture- Work hard play hard.
Can’t think of anything that’s super terrible or not common at other companies of similar age and size. Bureaucracy is much less of a problem than it was 3-5 years ago.
Advice to Management
Keep the transformation rolling!
I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at PTC (Uniontown, PA) in December 2016.
Started with a phone screening to ask general programming knowledge. After that was successful, I was scheduled for a face to face interview two days later. During the interview I went through a series of programming/problem solving challenges, and then discussed more of the business side of things with an additional critical thinking challenge with a second interviewer, and then interviewed with a third person about the company and my background. Offered a position 2 hours after the face to face interview.
