    A modest person, Tanja Fleischmann, Team Head for Apparel Development-Team Sports, describes herself as a typical Franconian. She comes from Coburg, Germany, a Franconian city a little more than an hour's drive from PUMA Headquarters, but with a passion for fashion, international experience and a foothold in a field characteristically dominated by men, Tanja is anything but typical.

Herzogenaurach is a lovely town of 24,000 located in Bavaria, Germany. Herzo, as we call it, is of
course home to the fastest sports brand in the world, PUMA — but also a great place to live.

PUMA Brands

The PUMA Group owns the brands PUMA and Cobra Golf as well as the affiliate company Dobotex. These brands are closely interlinked with PUMA’s core business and will adapt and implement PUMA's new brand direction under the Forever Faster platform for their own strategies.

Cobra Golf

Cobra Golf, acquired in 2010, is fully integrated into the PUMA Group as COBRA PUMA GOLF. This has enabled PUMA to provide a complete range of golfing products to the consumer and to become an important player in the golf sector. As a result, COBRA PUMA GOLF has strengthened its position in the golf business demonstrating further momentum and growth. The primary focus remains the USA and Japan, as well as Korea, the UK and the Scandinavian region.


Dobotex, founded in 1979 and located in Den Bosch, Netherlands, develops, produces and distributes socks and bodywear for PUMA, as well as socks for well-known brand-name companies. The licensing business will be further expanded going forward to encompass other top international brands.

    I have been working at PUMA Group full-time (More than 5 years)


    You will consistently be treated fairly at PUMA. Field management, HR partners, corporate partners are extremely helpful and easy to reach when needed. Goals and expectations are motivating because they are realistic and challenging. I truly do love coming to work everyday, and I do believe I have the greatest boss.

    Pay is competitive. 401k matching. Great Insurance coverage. Awesome discount. Great product.

    As a Store Manager I consistently work 40 hours per week. That is unheard of in the retail industry. Vacation time, paid holidays, sick time--I get a ton of time to spend with my family.

    Our holiday season is joyful rather than stressful with plenty of help with preparation and enough coverage to be successful.


    I wouldn't really list anything as a con. I guess I have to fill this space though in order to submit a review.

    Advice to Management

    Just know your field management is second to none. Thank those people every day because they do so much to keep us all motivated and supported. Continue to do what you do, treating us fairly with positive energy, and always listening to what input we have.

    I applied in-person. The process took 2+ weeks. I interviewed at PUMA Group (El Paso, TX) in October 2013.


    I applied at the store and got a call a week later to go in for an interview. I then went for the interview and it was a group interview. An hour later after the interview I got a call from them telling me I had gotten the job.
