I worked at Pacific Advanced Civil Engineering as an intern (More than a year)
Relaxed environment most of the time. Coworkers were very helpful and open to sharing their knowledge with a newbie. Very flexible and understanding of school work load.
This engineering internship did not consist of much engineering. Mostly administrative/office work expected but I do not feel I walked away with any tangible engineer skills that I wish I had. Work was particularly slow some days and would not have enough to do at times.
Advice to Management
Focus on developing interns to be able to move into engineering positions. It seemed we were more of an after thought most days.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Pacific Advanced Civil Engineering (Scottsdale, AZ).
Was asked pretty basic questions. Nothing was technical. It seemed to be more of a getting to know each other type of conversation. Asked about my availability and my degree progress.
