I worked at Pacific Sunwear part-time (More than a year)
Pacsun is a great introductory job for students who are in high school or beginning college. I was hired over summer among a pool of other employees that were slimmed down to keep on the permanent roster. My hiring manager was amazing and she taught me a lot about salesmanship as well as behaving as a good role model as a person and employee.
Shark-like environment. A lot of pressure to preserve ADS.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Pacific Sunwear.
My impression of the interview is the hiring manager was very open to training someone or hiring an inexperienced employee as long as they showed ambition, a willingness to learn and great personality. The hiring manager was looking more for how you will respond to unexpected questions and what kind of energy you're going to bring to the store. It was a very casual interview and it helped that Pacsun features young managers that give inexperienced applicants an comfortable environment.
