   I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at PalAmerican Security (Murray, UT) in Oct 2019

   Interview

   Saw an ad for an unarmed security officer on Craigslist and applied online. Went to the local office for an interview, and was presented with two options for job sites. A day or two later, I called back and said I was interested in one of the previously mentioned sites. I was told I had to come in for a drug screening and to consent to a background check. AFTER the background check was completed days later, I was then told that I had to go for another interview at the site where I wanted to work. I was not told this during the initial interview. At the second interview, I was asked if I had any previous experience or training in hand-to-hand combat. This is for a position as an overnight patrol officer checking on utility company sites. The job ad said nothing about this preference. The next week I heard back from someone at the company telling me that I did not get the job, and when I asked why, he said that it had to do with not having any hand-to-hand combat experience. If you apply for a job here, make sure you know EXACTLY what the requirements and expectations are for the site where you want to work during your initial interview so you don't waste time pursuing a position that you don't have the right experience for.
