I have been working at Palm Beach State College full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

2 weeks of paid holiday vacation, FRS pension, free classes for you and your immediate family, 1 week of paid spring break, the tuition is very low, can teach part time if you are a staff member with a higher degree, great faculty for the most part, free parking...

    Cons

The Human Resource department is horrible, very political when it comes to promotions and moving within the company, each campus is different and should offer the same services, the break time should mirror the county school systems for those employees who have children, no real help for students or staff when it comes to mental health....

    Advice to Management

Provide overall training on equity and have a new manager training for ALL new leaders! Stop rolling over to all of the veteran employees demands. Change is good. Its the only way that the company will increase enrollment. You need more diversity in your management staff specifically when it comes to race. Review your faculty rate my professor page and take heed to what the students say about some of your faculty. You have a little house cleaning that needs to happen. Dual roles dont work.
