Interview
On the positive side, the people at Papercup I had the chance to talk to were all very lovely, and I can see why their score at Glassdoor is as high as it is. On the negative side, Papercup was by far the slowest to update me after my interview with the hiring manager, which is disappointing given that they are a startup and should be able to move quickly. The interview made it clear that Papercup lacks experienced leadership regarding operations and delivery, and they seem to be late at identifying the need to hire external help. My recommendation for anyone who is looking to join is to maximise the base salary and ignore equity as Papercup will struggle to compete against Synthesia, which has a far superior product, technology and investors.InterviewWalk me through your past experience.
