A great GM/RM makes the biggest difference in terms of work quality and satisfaction. I was lucky enough to have both, resulting in efficient shifts, a great team, and overall enjoyment during work.
The company has undergone many changes throughout the years. It now has more of a corporate outlook that focuses on profit and product; which is understandable considering it is a restaurant chain.
Advice to Management
Have a better understanding of how hard employees work and provide better communication in regards to company changes.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Pasta Pomodoro (Sunnyvale, CA).
I submitted my application in person, and was immediately given a day to come back for the in-person interview by the general manager. The interview was based primarily on my previous serving experience and food/wine knowledge. The whole process went smoothly and the manger was very relaxed, which made the whole experience much less stressful than expected,
