I have been working at PayLease full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The culture is great! The people I work with are, for the most part, willing to go above and beyond and make the company successful. Of course there are a few people who don't work as hard or who don't have great attitudes, but those are way outweighed by the people who are giving it their all.

    Cons

Some employees are really focused on negative aspects of the company, and on what's changing/what's going away. I think in part this could be handled with better communication, and maybe with some room for people to ask more questions or learn more about things.

    Advice to Management

Revisit your communication strategy in problem areas, and don't be afraid to be enthusiastic about supporting events and being involved! Where you lead, other people will follow, and right now it seems like engagement in employee events can be a little low at the highest level. Encourage leadership and engagement at all employee levels, so people don't feel like the departure of one person means the end of the world.

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at PayLease (San Diego, CA) in April 2015.

    Interview

Had a 30 min phone screen and went over my resume. Prior to my in person interview, I had to complete a 4-5 hour coding challenge and email my code to them. Had 1:1 interview at first, then panel interview in the same day. It was a little intimidating in the panel portion, but they made me felt welcomed and it went well. During the panel interview, we went over my coding challenge and my resume. They asked some easy to medium tech questions.
