Message from Payoneer CEO, Scott Galit

At Payoneer, our goal is to empower our customers to grow their businesses by enabling them to pay and get paid as easily globally as they do locally. We very much believe that by connecting countries, currencies, businesses and professionals that we can help our customers succeed in more ways and more places than ever before. And we have a global team of smart, caring people who wake up every day and love what they get to do – working together to help our global customers succeed.

We see every day how technology and the internet are creating exciting new business opportunities all over the world. We see millions of entrepreneurs from over 200 countries and territories – professionals, small businesses and digital platforms – who are actively building global businesses in this new world of opportunity. And every day we see the challenges these businesses face in getting paid and making payments for cross-border trade. It’s rare as a CEO that you get a chance to work on something exciting, important and inspiring.

We see how the world is shrinking around us and becoming a place where resourcefulness, talent and hard work matter more than where you come from. By connecting entrepreneurs large and small to the rest of the world, Payoneer ensures nothing will ever stand in the way of their hard-earned success.

We are inspired by the global entrepreneurs that we have the privilege to work with every day. And we are excited to play our part in helping them drive growth in their local economies and change our world.

What it's like to work at Payoneer?

Payoneer’s culture is defined by our values - humbleness, integrity & openness, excellence, diversity & respect, being a team player, caring & belonging, passion & dedication, creative action taking, and creating a fun workplace. In hiring, we stick to a “no jerks policy”, ensuring we create an atmosphere that is conducive to innovation and growth, not only as a company, but also for each individual employee.

We are incredibly employee centric. Our fun Friday lunches are certainly the most memorable benefit for employees. Every Friday, all employees put their work aside for an hour to sit down together, eat the catered lunch, and publicly share news of new projects, team members, birthdays, personal interests, and more. New employees are encouraged to introduce themselves and present a personal insight, which has resulted in acapella singing presentations, beat boxing, and poetry, to name a few.

In addition to the full stocked fridge every day of the week, our amazing new Parental leave policy, our 401k matching and our incredibly generous Health benefits, we look for lots of opportunities to reward our employees for their hard work – from generous company benefits to special events, like this year’s Globathon, where we flew employees from all over the world to a beach resort for a week of team building and fun.

Second, the company cares a lot about each of the teams that build up the Payoneer community. Each department is given a budget to have a team-wide “fun day”, where they can set their regular work aside for a day of bonding and relaxation. Some teams have chosen to carry out extensive scavenger hunts all over New York City, while others took a day at a spa.

All of us – including our CEO and other C-level executives – sit in an open workspace environment, to ensure a culture of equality and approachability. Company policies are not dependent on the employee’s role within the company – executives fly economy with the rest of the team, for example. The Friday lunches also create an atmosphere of openness. The result is a flat company structure that encourages all employees to turn to each other for help, to not fear failure, and to work with each other for greater success.

We are an incredibly diverse company, born global but highly localized within each office. We employ people from all backgrounds and demographics. Unlike the financial industry’s average of having 25% female leadership, Payoneer boasts 52% female leadership. Just in our New York office, over 25 languages are spoken. We celebrate the differences and similarities between us every day.

We are incredibly proud of our company mission – to empower entrepreneurs to grow all over the world. We work with freelancers, small businesses, and the world’s leading brands to be more successful. Employees share stories with each other of a business that they have helped, or a grateful email received from the latest happy client. Our company is a partner for growth for businesses in places of the world where infrastructure is shaky at best, where the digital economy has changed lives and opened up new worlds of opportunity. We also work with the world’s top internet brands, like Amazon, Google, and Airbnb. Employees are incredibly proud of the work we do around the world with the internet’s giants and rising stars.

We attract smart, sharp, humble, diverse, fun, team players, who are collaborative, get things done and care for each other.

I have been working at Payoneer full-time (Less than a year)

    Great colleagues and culture
Everyone is welcome from Day 1 to share ideas and be involved
Freedom to ask as many questions as needed and to make mistakes
Significant investment in training - Payoneer invests in setting you up to succeed
    Great clients and exposure
Flexibility is great (it has improved more recently from what I've gathered)
The company is poised for some great opportunities and has the best of a start up culture and the benefits of a large established company.
    Excellent health insurance from UHC
    401k matching
    Friday team lunches
Regular team fun - shoot some hoops, jump into a Barre class, run around the block, smoothie Wednesdays (make up your own activity and rally the team!)
    Occasional travel as a perk
    I'd highly recommend joining!

The occasionally growing pains of a company trying to transition - if you understand the history, culture and have been through this process before, you can accommodate for it - not really a con but something to be aware of coming in.

    Advice to Management

Keep the focus on the customer and the team.

    Account Manager Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in New York, NY

    Easy Interview

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Payoneer (New York, NY) in June 2015.

Applied via LinkedIn and heard back from head of Account Management in Tel Aviv for a introductory phone call. No difficult questions, just the usual why this role, why Payoneer, etc. Then was invited for an in person interview with an Account Manager who seemed to suggest that the job would be very boring. Not sure if this was a way to deter people from accepting a position or to be transparent. This interview wasn't very difficult either. It did end with a brief quiz. A few mock emails from clients and seeing how you would respond. Then some simple questions about bank transfers and how things like wire transfers work. Seemed to see if you were at all familiar. The manager said he would get back to me either way, and even after I followed up with him via email, he still has yet to decline or offer me a position. I think that at the very least, they could do what they say they will do. Overall an indication.
