Our “Spirit of Health” promise is the embodiment of PeaceHealth.
Everything we do is in service to a higher purpose: to work with and help our neighbors live healthier, happier lives.
We take care of the needs of people, we don’t simply treat patients. We put people at the center, enabling them to be their best, and providing personalized, compassionate care when they are not. We make them feel welcome, comfortable, and safe. We are neighbors, caring for and loving one another, for the betterment of all.
Caring for those in our community is not new to PeaceHealth; it’s been in practice since the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace arrived in Fairhaven, Washington to serve the needs of the loggers, mill workers, fishermen and their families. They knew strong, healthy communities benefit individuals and society, and that social and economic factors can make some community members especially vulnerable. The Sisters believed they had a responsibility to care for them, and that ultimately, healthier communities enable all of us to rise to a better life.
This philosophy inspires us today and guides us toward the future.
PeaceHealth strives to inspire and develop our caregivers while creating healthier communities. Benefits play an important role in this and we work hard to make sure that our benefits reflect the needs and wants of our caregivers and their families.
We provide comprehensive healthcare coverage for caregivers and their eligible dependents. Plus we offer dental and vision coverage, wellness program, programs to manage chronic health conditions, access to employee assistance program, as well as alternative/flexible work schedules. Additionally, an overview of the benefits offered at PeaceHealth can be found via this link: 2018 Benefits Overview. If you have any questions regarding those benefits, please contact our Caregiver Resource Center at (855) 333-6947, Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm (PST).
At the heart of our Mission, Values and Vision at PeaceHealth is responsibility — to our patients, their loved ones and our communities.
Our roots run deep in every community we serve. They do so because of our belief that our Mission, Values and Vision compel us to relentlessly pursue improving ways of providing the highest-quality compassionate health care services and care to our patients.
Our patients come to us seeking only the best in clinical services, technology and expertise, and only the most compassionate, caring people to provide that care. We aspire to always meet and exceed those expectations.

With more than a century of service to Northwest communities, PeaceHealth strives to make health care available to everyone.
Just as each individual is a unique creation, each community we serve has its own personality and needs. Our strength lies in honoring this diversity while realizing the advantage of working together as one health care system.
With locations in Oregon, Alaska, and Washington we are able to help serve various communities from rural to urban to frontier. Check out our PeaceHealth At a Glance fact sheets to learn more about each location.
There are more than 3.1 million nurses across the U.S. providing care in clinics, hospitals, and other centers everyday. The very best nurses work for PeaceHealth - we have openings in Oregon, Alaska, and Washington. You can learn more about our nurse openings and other benefits offered here.
I have been working at PeaceHealth full-time (Less than a year)
I found the "onboarding" process to be well planned and laid out. It was easy to follow. I have enjoyed the friendliness of the fellow caregivers, and my supervisors have been patient in the transition. The management is very approachable and welcoming.
I have not experienced any cons up to this point.
I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at PeaceHealth (Bellingham, WA).
The first interview was a 1:1 with the Department Supervisor. It was pretty laid back and she asked me questions about my work experience, education, training/skills, etc. The second interview was a panel type interview. Several employees were present at the interview and asked questions/gave scenerios for me to respond to. There was also a "tell about yourself/your experience" segment.
