I have been working at Peak Concepts part-time
From the first day I walked into the office, the team at Peak made me feel welcome. Everyone is extremely ambitious and motivated not only to reach their own goals but to help others reach theirs. The environment is professional, modern, collaborative and fast-paced where everyone is encouraged to share their experiences and ideas. This is a great place for individuals to gain experience, create opportunity and pave a career path for themselves.
Just as with any job, this one is not for everyone.
Advice to Management
I applied online. I interviewed at Peak Concepts.
I just want to clear up some of the "negativity" here. 1. Peak concepts is a legit business and isn't a scam or pyramid scheme. A pyramid scheme requires you to buy "useless' products and forces you to sell them and the only way to sell them is if you can find some lackies selling the product for you. I have worked for marketing firms and the one that does D2D and they are not the worse ones out there.
Now with that being said, this place is a joke. I know the procedure they want "young guys" to interview. I was one of the 1st interviews of the day for the manager. Already a negative cause I am a woman and they don't last in this business long. Ok understand. From the 1st moment I met him, he was cold and push off. No ice breakers -i even tried an ice breaker like "oh what lovely weather we are having" and just ignored me and went to the point.
Now how do I know he didn't want me to join his team? He didn't even ask about me and the first words that came out of his mouth is "this is commission based and you are working 50 hours a day and this is not an office job that you think this is." I know the pitch and went along with it. Interview lasted 5 minutes. Last thing he said to me was "so I'm going to go over all the applications and if we choose you we will give you a call" in other words "please go away we don't want you" didn't even ask if I had any questions.
I am ok with direct marketing and would rather do this than d2d, but the hiring manager didn't even give me a chance to explain what I was interested in the position.
TBH I'm glad I didn't go on. But if you are a young male who just graduated college - watch out all the marketing firms including D2D ones will want you. If you feel that this is your knitch go ahead. But if you want a steady pay check and steady hours then be warned
