I have been working at Pearland ISD (More than a year)
Family oriented, everyone knows each other, connected community, very involved and motivated parents
Starting to feel very test driven. Advance classes are not truly advanced due to open enrollment. Lately the message feels, "do this or you will be sued and we won't back you up"
Advice to Management
Build your teachers up. They are the backbone to this operation.
I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Pearland ISD (Pearland, TX).
Interviewed with the principal for less than an hour, was offered position the same day. The interview was casual, discussion format. The interview focused on educational and professional background, reasons for entering the profession, and situational decision making. The decision was made at the campus level, and then approved by district HR, from what I could tell. The principal was focused on adding people who could bring unique experience, perspective and passion to the campus.
