Company Updates

March 7, 2022
We recently announced our affiliated practices will adopt the Pediatrix® Medical Group brand nationwide, reflecting the group’s role as the nation’s leading provider of highly specialized health care for women, babies and children. The Pediatrix name honors our more than 40-year legacy of a patient-centered, physician-led organization, with a mission to “Take great care of the patient, every day and in every way™.” “This is an exciting time in our company’s trajectory,” said Mark Ordan, chief executive officer. “Shifting our practices to a unified Pediatrix brand enables us to promote collectively the wide spectrum of talented physicians and other clinicians who millions of the most vulnerable patients – high-risk expectant mothers, premature and critically ill newborns and sick children – have and continue to rely on for specialized care. This brand evolution reflects our commitment to providing the highest quality services across the full women’s and children’s continuum of care, which now includes a growing line of pediatric primary and urgent care.”

#HeartMonth is an especially appropriate time to celebrate the innovative and highly specialized work our clinicians do to take great care of the patient, every day and in every way 💚💙. New on the blog, almost five-year-old Piper Small is back to swimming, T-ball, gymnastics, karate, soccer (and more!) after undergoing a minimally invasive alternative to open-heart surgery at our Pediatric Cardiology Associates Tampa Bay. “I had worried since the day she was born that she’d need open-heart surgery, so I was devastated when my husband called to tell me the news,” said mom Brooke Small. "I did not want my child to be cut open.” “We wouldn’t have known about this procedure if we hadn’t been seeing Dr. Gonzalez and Dr. Ringewald. It’s a win when any child doesn’t have to have invasive surgery."

Registered Nurse

Looking for ideas for a slight "career change". I can't stand working bedside/acute care nursing anymore, officially burnt out. Does anyone have any experience with informatics based nursing jobs, or clinical documentation specialist positions? EMR auditing? Remote jobs? Pros/cons? Do you find there are part time positions available? I don't have my masters just my BSN/RB, nor do I plan on going back for my masters, would possibly consider a certification if really necessary.
