I worked at Pelican Products full-time (Less than a year)
The hiring process was very straight forward and the people in HR were very nice. When I finally got to work, I worked with some great people that worked hard.
Although most people worked hard, there were a few serious slackers that were allowed to be that way with supervisors. Good workers were also not rewarded as much as they should be. They need to find ways to compensate people that work harder than others.
Advice to Management
Try to pay closer attention to the hard workers and find ways to reward them. Make them feel valued so they continue to work hard if not even harder to hopefully encourage poor workers to improve and keep up with the good ones.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Pelican Products (Torrance, CA) in March 2015.
Had already filled out job application the first day. Was asked to come back for a second interview. At the 2nd. Interview, I was ask to fill out all paper work to start working at Pelican Co. Watch a video of the company products, factory, and how the machinery runs. We tour the working areas. I was told at the end of the tour, that I would be called by Friday and if I did not receive a call from them that I should call in. We'll I've been calling back for a month now and no response. I even email and still Nothing... not too professional. .
