I worked at Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects full-time (More than 5 years)
Large projects, close tutoring, unlimited tools, software, lasers, 3D printers, wood shop, photo room, free lunch, flexible hours, raise every year, 2 half bonuses a year, weekly pay.
Learn to design and then if you feel stuck fly away. It is what it is.
Mostly SD, a little DD hardly any CD. Still some people managed to acrue hours for licencing. No real rewards, no HR. Insane hours.
Advice to Management
Review and reward performance. Have HR. Fire the cook.
I applied online. The process took 4+ months. I interviewed at Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects (New Haven, CT) in June 2016.
I applied online and a few days later received a call from the hiring manager. I was invited in just the next week so this was a fast process. I went to their New Haven office, had a 45 minute interview with said hiring manager and overall thought the interview went great. At the end of the interview, she told me that they might be taking a long time to get back to the candidates due to the next interviewer being out of town. After two or three weeks, I contacted the company to know the status of the interview process and was told to just wait. At first they kept saying they were waiting for the next interviewer. Now almost 4 months later the same job is floating around on the hiring sites.
Please let candidates who drive in for an interview know where they stand.
