I worked at Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Access to a lot of experienced professionals with great skill sets.

    Cons

Must work alongside individuals not necessarily motivated but remain employed because it is difficult for the State to sever employment. Advancement can be difficult unless willing to move

    Application

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (Harrisburg, PA) in March 2012.

    Interview

I sat down in a board room with a handful of the staff, around 4.At first it was very overwhelming and intimating.

However I was soon put at ease after their questions and demeanor added a relaxed atmosphere.

The staffed ranged from upper management to receptionist and was very open.

    Interview Questions

    • The questions ranged from why I wanted to be there, would I be a good fit but also extended to me asking everyone in the room what they did and how they felt.   1 Answer
