    Application

    I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Pentair.

    Interview

    I made it through 3 rounds of phone screening, first with a recruiter, then with the engineering manager followed by one of his engineers. The next step was to be an in-person interview but they selected someone else for the role.

    Overall this was a pretty standard affair, although I think they were overflowing with candidates which led to there being so many rounds. The engineering manager said he didn't believe in aptitude tests, rather he liked to get an idea of a candidates aptitude simply through conversation.
