Mission: People Incorporated is supporting mental health and wellness in our community through collaboration and integration of care.
I have been working at People Incorporated (MN) full-time (More than a year)
People Incorporated has great respect for their employees. They recognize that I am an individual, and are interested in my professional goals. When I disclosed to them that I would like to move on from my current role working with clients, my supervisor advocated for a new team lead role that had never been tried before. That role was created to fit my needs, and I am still happily employed.
Since they are a non-profit organization, the pay is not fantastic, especially for an emotionally taxing career. This is not out of the ordinary for social service work at any organization.
Advice to Management
Really amazing! Keep it up! The only thing that may be helpful would be to increase PTO and create sick days that are not taken out of PTO.
I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at People Incorporated (MN) (Minneapolis, MN) in May 2015.
Sat down with director (who left the program shortly after) he asked me some questions mostly about my experience working with people with Mental Illnesses, multicultural groups, people with criminal records and otherwise at risk populations. I went home and sent him my references. He called me the next day to offer me the position. I gave my two weeks notice to my other job and started working there two weeks later. At this point I'm positive the interview process has changed because that director left and the lady who was hired to supervise became the new Director.
Nothing much, he said he could get me $22 an hour and I thought that sounded fair.
