I worked at People's Revolution part-time (Less than a year)
Atmosphere in this office is crazy in the best way possible. Seriously, never a dull moment at peoples rev.
Super chill work vibe, can play music, can dress as edgy as you want which is hard to find in most corporate agencies.
The only con I could really say is the hours are long. That being said, if you love what you do, which I did...time flies.
Advice to Management
Kelly was such a role model to me in the time that I interned for her. She is sweet, caring and genuine if you put the work in and do not complain. Working at Peoples Rev gave me thick skin and made me want to succeed and put the work in. It is a priceless experience. Anyone who is fortunate enough to receive career, relationship or even life advice from Kelly is very lucky. She is a well rounded professional that speaks with conviction and inspires young professionals in such a competitive industry to thrive and far exceed gender norms.
I applied online. I interviewed at People's Revolution (New York, NY).
Very basic questions, super easy. If you've taken a communications class, can talk on a phone, and can write a press release then you're good. You'll be dealing with a lot of clothing, so know your clothing item names. You'll also be dealing with really rude clients. Kelly was always really nice to me and was a joy to work with, but she clashed with others. Stay on her good side, and you're set.
